ING Fossielvrij

The climate crisis is here and now. It is unacceptable that the Netherlands’ largest bank – ING – pumps our money into fossil fuels. Help us raise the pressure: ING, stop financing oil, coal and gas!

Lawsuit against KLM’s misleading ads

KLM’s misleading ads make us believe that we can fly sustainably. But this is an illusion. That’s why we are taking KLM to court. Support the lawsuit.

What have we achieved so far?

Thanks to our movement, the public debate in the Netherlands has shifted: the fossil fuel industry is no longer seen as part of the solution, but part of the problem. Together, we ensured that prominent public institutions have cut their ties with oil, coal and gas companies.

  • After seven years of campaigning, ABP – Europe’s largest pension fund – announced in 2021 they will divest from all fossil fuels.
  • Thanks to Fossil Free Culture NL, prominent cultural institutions like the Van Gogh Museum and Het Concertgebouw have cut their ties with oil giant Shell.
  • Thanks to Fossil Free Advertising (Reclame Fossielvrij), Amsterdam has become the first city in the world to ban fossil fuel advertising. Many cities are following suit.

A worldwide movement

We are part of 350.org, an international movement of ordinary people working to end the age of fossil fuels and build a world of community-led renewable energy for all. 350.org supports this website, and hosts our mailing list and digital platforms.

Will you support us, so we can launch ambitious campaigns to turn things around for our climate and communities?
