11th March – 9th April
Now’s the time to get organised, grow our power, and demand action on the climate crisis – get skilled up to take action for divestment in your community!
The fossil fuel industry have been driving the climate crisis and delaying action on climate change for decades. That’s why from 5th-13th May, people everywhere are coming together for the Global Divestment Mobilisation.
For three years, the divestment campaign in the UK has been challenging the power of the fossil fuel industry, but now, in 2017, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Climate change has already started to ravage communities across the world. We’re also seeing the industries responsible fighting back – desperately cling onto power and sacrificing our future in the name of profit.
Come along and get involved in the Fossil Free Trainings Tour!
Trainings are open to all, no matter your campaigning experience or involvement in divestment. If you have any questions get in touch with email@example.com.
Do I need to register to attend?
Please register via the Eventbrite pages for each training. There are limited spaces available for each session and know how many people are coming is essential! If spaces fill up quickly, we’ll look into finding bigger venues.
How much do the trainings cost?
We want to make all our trainings as accessible as possible. All the sessions in the tour will cost £5 full price or free for unwaged/student. If you have any questions about payment, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
What will the trainings cover?
The focus of the training sessions is on creative action planning and media skills. We will look at some inspiring examples of creative action, think about strategy and planning, and get stuck into some scheming of our own. We’ll also look at how to get the media interested in your action. There will also be space for local campaigns to talk about their work! The sessions will be interactive and participatory.
