MARCH 20: New York’s electeds to address climate at #GreenNewDeal4NY Forum

1000+ New Yorkers already RSVP’d to question politicians on concrete action to deliver climate justice

New York, NY — Over a thousand New Yorkers have already RSVP’d to attend Wednesday’s #GreenNewDeal4NY Accountability Forum. Communities will hold town hall-style forum to question Governor Andrew Cuomo, state legislature leaders, Attorney General Tish James, and City-wide elected leaders such as Comptroller Scott Stringer, Public Advocate Jumaane Williams and Speaker Corey Johnson on what they’re doing to act on the climate crisis and make New York a leader for the rest of the country.

WHEN: Wednesday March 20, 2019 7:00 pm, Doors open at 6:15 pm.

WHERE: Concert Hall @ Society for Ethical Culture. 2 W 64th St, NYC (Closest Subway stop A/C/B/D at Columbus Circle)

WHO: Elected officials and representatives from New York’s top elected offices, such as Governor Cuomo and City Comptroller Scott Stringer.

Key topics to be addressed, such as: Stopping the Williams fracked gas pipelineState legislation like the Climate and Community Protection Act and Fossil Fuel Divestment Act; Making mass transit work; City legislation such as the Dirty Buildings Bill; Investigations and lawsuits against big oil companies; and much more!
