2018 Wrap-Up

It’s been a year of devastating climate impacts, but also a growing movement for climate justice that fills us with hope.

Here’s some of our highlights from 2018, as well as some things to look forward to next year…

2019: 3 things to look forward to

  1. The Let Communities Decide campaign continues – opposition to government plans to fast-track fracking has grown and grown. Let’s make sure in 2019, they drop these outrageous proposals completely. Here’s how you can get involved.
  2. Stepping up divestment – The publication of the IPCC report on 1.5 degrees has shown that climate justice means keeping oil, coal and gas in the ground. 2019 needs to be the year where our public institutions, big and small, join the movement to go Fossil Free – starting with the UK parliament.
  3. Bringing the movement together – 2019 will see loads of amazing opportunities to bring our movement together, learn from each other, and grow stronger – starting with the launch of the Framing Climate Justice project in January.
