The Fossil Fuel Divestment Act would divest New York State’s $200 billion pension fund from the largest fossil fuel companies. New York currently has $13 billion in risky fossil fuel investments. Every bit of that money goes towards accelerating climate change and building new fracked gas infrastructure projects like the Williams pipeline that harm New Yorkers, especially in low-income communities and communities of color.

28 State Senators have already sponsored the Fossil Fuel Divestment Act. 11 Democratic Senators have yet to voice their support.
