Dear friends,

A few weeks ago 80 Fossil Free activists from all over Europe gathering in Eindhoven, Netherlands to share skills, stories and energy with each other.  It gave us all new inspiration and motivation for the fight against fossil fuels.

Now, we’re bringing that momentum from Eindhoven to the Rhineland in Germany — one of the largest sources of CO2 in the whole of Europe because of its opencast mines and coal-fired power stations.

Join us for Fossil Free Storytelling close to Düsseldorf on August 13, 6:30 pm and be part of the action Ende Gelände on August 15!  There is an ambitious plan to block the giant coal diggers with people power to protect the climate!

In less than 2 weeks, over 1000 people from all over Europe will gather in the Rhineland for the Ende Gelände action to highlight the insanity of continuing to extract lignite coal from the ground. Our Fossil Free network stands in solidarity with this action.

On the evening of August 13, Fossil Free activists will arrive in the Rhineland to tell stories about their biggest achievements, their exciting actions and the challenges of the divestment campaign in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and beyond. Join us and we promise you’ll be inspired!

On Friday, August 14, you will have the chance to discover the climate camp program and to participate in the training sessions needed for preparing the action.

Saturday, August 15 is the big day! Join us in saying “Ende Gelände” (“Here, but no futher”)

You will find full details on how to get there here, what to bring etc here.

I hope to see you there.
