In a couple of weeks, a wide range of fossil fuel divestment activists from across Europe and the world will be converging in Paris during the climate talks. We’ll be loud, visible, and shake things up with creative actions throughout the second week of the climate talks to let everyone know this movement has unstoppable power (as seen in this recent Al Jazeera documentary about our movement). Everyone who can is welcome to join us in Paris from December 5th to the 12th (RSVP to the Facebook event), or at least from December 7th (the start of the second week of the COP). There’ll be opportunities to get to know each other, share knowledge, stories, and skills, and take action together throughout the week as well as on December 12.
There will also be space for creating beautiful divestment art in our Artivism Hub, and generally having lots of fun while building power for the divestment movement to be stronger, broader, more intersectional, and effective as we move into 2016 and beyond.
We’re hoping many people from the global divestment network will share a common accommodation space (here’s a little survey to indicate your accommodation preferences if you have yet to arrange something on that front). It’s already looking like it’s going to be the largest international gathering of divestment activists we’ve ever had in Europe. You won’t want to miss it.
