Held on January 22, 2014, in Berkeley, CA, the California Divestment Forum focused on the financial case for divestment from fossil fuels. Hosted by Fossil Free and 350.org, the forum was an invite-only event, bringing together city government leaders, university endowment heads, financial experts, and divestment campaigners.

The implications of climate change are inextricable from investment strategy and institutional financial decisions, but understanding the risks and the solutions to this dynamic market element isn’t always easy. Fossil Free investment forums provide institutional decision makers with the needed expertise to seriously consider responsibly moving assets into more sustainable investments.
